While I was on break this morning I spoke with our art director. Told her I have a character who’s a rich young bachelor philanthropist who wants to support the arts in his community. She gave me some ideas of how he would spend his time and money. Networking is an author’s best friend, man.
Also, this amused me. Went upstairs to check my mail, and found one thing in my inbox:
“Stevie, I read this and thought about you–the writing month. ♥ Violet” And clipped to it was a magazine snippet that said “JOIN: National Novel Writing Month (nanowrimo.org). Participants crank out 50,000 words in 30 days. Start your pens Nov. 1.”
