I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, as do some of you others. I’ve had two cortisone shots in each wrist over the past seven years, and hopefully can put off surgery for another ten years or so. But NaNoWriMo is a fun time for those of us with CTS and other Repetitive Stress Injuries. So. Some tools.
- Wrist braces. Obviously.
- Icy Hot wrist tubes – these stink like hell, but they help.
- Advil – four every four hours. No kidding. (Only if you’re in pain, duh.)
- RSIGuard to ensure you take proper work breaks
Okay, that’s all I can think of. Unless you have someone on hand to give you an upper-body and limb massage. In which case, please send them my way.
