Rambling about NaNo and writing

I’ve discovered that it’s not the best idea to have a joint-writing project going on during November if I want to succeed at NaNo. Nori and I have both agreed that it’s much more fun to write our joint fanfic project together than it is to write our own individual NaNoWriMo projects.  It’s not that I’m not enjoying this novel.  I’m getting more and more excited about Truthseekers, Inc.  But at the same time, it’s nearly impossible to suffer writer’s block when you’re working with another person.  That is not the case when you’re writing on your own.

Of course, you’ve all been subjected to one of my attempts to get past my writer’s block, which is my “Say something” poll (and hahaha to the four of you who said “something”. Very funny. ^_~ )  Another way I procrastinate/search for inspiration is browse my various music communities looking for likely titles, artists, songs, etc.  I iconize.  springsea provided a new procrastination technique I hadn’t thought of before–she created book covers for her novel.

Anyway, I’m finally reaching the point where the novel really becomes a “tie-in/crossover” with the Regents novels, and at the same time I’ve managed to crawl across 12,000 words.  So eventually when I post my clip over at theregent, those of you who haven’t read the Regents novels will have to be somewhat spoiled if you keep reading.  Not spoiled too severely, though.

Okay, now I’m going to go back to writing.  Really.
