The Midwinter Royal is a holiday romance set in the same world and falls chronologically thirty years before the events of that series. It can be read either before or after the series, though reading it after does expose the reader to slight spoilers.
Circle City Magic – Urban Fantasy
Urban fantasy set in Indianapolis, Indiana, these books incorporate magic into the real world. One early reader of Shades said, “This whole novel is a love letter to Indianapolis,” and she’s not wrong. For all its flaws, I love my home state, and Indianapolis is a great city to live and work in. Whenever possible, I incorporate real locations and events into my writing.
